Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID), the American College Health Association (ACHA), the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) for a panel discussion with experts sharing practical strategies and real-world insights to reach key audiences, including students, parents, and educators, to promote adolescent COVID-19 vaccination for a safe return to in-person education.

NFID Medical Director William Schaffner, MD, will moderate the panel discussion with Anita L. Barkin, DrPH, MSN, NP-C, Co-Chair, ACHA COVID-19 Task Force; NFID Director Tamera Coyne-Beasley, MD, MPH, Derrol Dawkins, MD Endowed Chair in Adolescent Medicine, University of Alabama Birmingham; and NASN President Linda L. Mendonca, DNP, RN, PHNA-BC, NCSN.

The interactive discussion will focus on strategies for implementing the communications framework outlined in the NFID report, COVID-19 Communications: Promoting Prevention Measures and Vaccine Acceptance, with a focus on returning to in-person education.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

• Summarize COVID-19 vaccination recommendations for adolescents and guidelines for co-administration with other routine vaccines
• Describe a communications framework for promoting COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and evidence-based prevention measures
• Identify challenges to adherence and specific strategies that can be used to build trust in public health guidelines and motivate action among target audiences
• Adopt practical strategies for reaching target audiences in various settings
