Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a webinar presenting the results of new national surveys conducted by NFID to better understand knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward influenza (flu) vaccination as well as communication gaps between healthcare professionals (HCPs) and adult patients with chronic health conditions.

NFID Medical Director William Schaffner, MD will moderate a panel discussion on strategies to improve flu vaccination rates among adults with chronic health conditions and tactics to narrow the existing communication gaps. Panelists include Martha Gulati, MD, MS, American Society for Preventive Cardiology President-Elect, and Cedric “Jamie” Rutland, MD, CEO of West Coast Lung, COVID-19 medical director of Private Health Management, and national spokesperson for the American Lung Association.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the existing gap in communications between healthcare professionals and patients with chronic health conditions 
  • Implement strategies to improve communications and increase flu vaccination rates among adults with chronic health conditions
